What Is NET ?
NET stands for
Neuro-Emotional Technique. It is a technique that was created by an American chiropractor called Scott Walker in 1985. Walker originally
developed the technique after noticing that patients with similar conditions did not heal at the same rates. His theory was that the people who
weren’t getting better had something else going on that was slowing their recovery. After a while Walker began to notice that the individuals who
were not progressing as expected seemed to be under more stress that those who were recovering well.
Walker began
getting people to think about some of the stressful situations in their lives while he made the usual corrections. To his amazement, the
individuals who were experiencing delayed improvement began to progress like never before. It was this experience that led Dr Walker to create
a technique that would address the influence of stress and emotional upset on recovery.
NET Today
Neuro-Emotional Technique has come a long way since 1985. Today, NET is a 15-step protocol that quickly finds and removes stress
and emotional upset that may be inhibiting an individual’s recovery. Healing arts dating back thousands of years have acknowledged the link
between stress/emotion and recovery time, however only in the last couple of decades has their been a tool that can address this issue.
Neuro-Emotional Technique is designed specifically to target the influence of stress and emotion on health. NET is used in conjunction with
standard chiropractic techniques and can also be used as a standalone tool to eliminate self-sabotaging behaviours and improve
motivation.
What can NET treat?
Practitioners of NET are almost unlimited in their ability to address physical and behavioural/emotional conditions of all kinds.
